    Ireland finally make it count.

It comes off the back of the scrum as Aoife Wafer goes close.

Ireland, with their player advantage, work it through the hands and Stacey Flood is able to cross.

    O'Brien's conversion drifts wide again.

I have really enjoyed Ireland firing the shots which they didn't do last week and the variety they have showed in attack. That is what we wanted to see, but the fast start is no good if you can't maintain it. They need to stay patient but high-energy.

Ireland now win the scrum penalty. All the wee decisions are going their way, but the still only have one try on the board.

O'Brien sticks it into the corner.

    France 0-5 Ireland

It's a loose throw from France and Neve Jones and Niamh O'Dowd do really well to keep Manae Feleu up in the air for form a maul, and Ireland then win the scrum as that ball wasn't coming back.

Big turnover from France, who get over the ball after Fiona Tuite carried the ball into a pile of bodies.

I think that was a fair call, I didn't expect it to be upgraded. Ireland need another score.

There's a stoppage after a heavy collision in the middle of the pitch as Eve Higgins ran into Rose Bernadou, which has left the French prop requiring some treatment.

It has been much better from Ireland. They are hungry for this.

  15. Postpublished at 13:21 BST

    France 0-5 Ireland

That will suit Ireland nicely, as Pauline Bourdon Sansus kicks clear, but the wind stops it getting too far and Ireland will have the throw just outside the 22.

  16. Postpublished at 13:20 BST

    France 0-5 Ireland

Stacey Flood is given a bit of a hospital pass and knocks the ball forwards when being tackled.

The tackle count stands at 41 for France, and only eight for Ireland. Both teams have missed one apiece, which is impressive given the slippery conditions.

    France 0-5 Ireland

Ireland are back in the French 22 as Eve Higgins races onto a neat O'Brien pass.

This has been one-way traffic in the opening 15 minutes.

Scott Bemand was asked at his team announcement on Thursday what it meant that Aoife Wafer would be wearing seven rather than her usual eight on her comeback from injury.

The head coach was coy then, but the side's star back row has been scrummaging off the flank when France have the ball and coming off the base when it's Ireland's put in.
