The Japan squad have bowed to the main stand at Sandy Park, earning a huge - and deserved - ovation. Nice to see Sora Nishimura, who went off injured in the first minute, out there with her team-mates and although she is on crutches she doesn't seem to be too badly injured.
I guess that's the sign of a great side, when they can overcome a shaky period by really stepping on the gas. Next week's meeting with Ireland could be tasty.

This is great stuff! Waaka and Woodman-Wickcliffe combine nicely on the right, before the latter unselfishly feeds it back inside to Holmes, who glides between the posts.

The full-back seals her hat-trick, slicing through the defence on the left wing before cutting in to dot down under the posts, potting the conversion as well into the bargain.
