Glasgow are the better rugby team, but Edinburgh have made it a dog fight, made the breakdown a mess and played the referee.

Van der Merwe going down the tunnel is a real blow for the hosts though.

And that's the last we'll see of Duhan van der Merwe for an HIA. I'm not sure where he picked that up..

He's replaced by Charlie Shiel, while James Lang is also on alongside Paddy Harrison and Ben Healy.

Mosese Tuipulotu, Dave Cherry and Ross Thompson off.

Ali Price's box kick is collected by Duhan van der Merwe, and he offloads to Sam Skinner.

The big man doesn't have the pace to get away from the chasing Warriors and he only has Javan Sebastian on his shoulder. Glasgow turn over, and the pressure is released.

    Edinburgh 3-0 Glasgow Warriors

A decision goes against Glasgow in Edinburgh's 22m and Horne screams at the referee. He's in trouble with Eoghan Cross and Glasgow are marched back.

Petulant, perhaps, from the replacement nine.

    Edinburgh 3-0 Glasgow Warriors

A Sione Tuipulotu miss pass puts Kyle Rowe through on the wing but he kicks instead of passing inside. Ali Price is able to scramble back and touch down.

It looked like a great chance to hold on to the ball and play the pass inside... a let off for the hosts.

Some more subs to bring you.

Pierre Schoeman and Javan Sebastian are on as Edinburgh change props. Meanwhile, George Horne is on for Glasgow, replacing Sebastian Cancelliere. Jamie Dobie will most likely move to the wing.

    Edinburgh 3-0 Glasgow Warriors

Glasgow's discipline is letting them down again and Edinburgh are down on the 5m line. They're relying on their defensive intensity to get them through this rocky spell.

And it pays off! Hamish Watson crashes into contact and Gregor Hiddleston wraps him up, getting over the ball.

A Huw Jones kick puts Ross Thompson under enormous pressure and the Edinburgh fly-half is met by a wall of chasing Glasgow tacklers.

Ali Price tries to box-kick away, Scott Cummings charges down, but he's offside.

Glasgow are going to the bench early in the second 40.

Rory Sutherland and Rory Darge are on for Jamie Bhatti and Jack Mann.

Another impressive outing for Mann. Scotland are well-stocked in the back-row department, but they can probably add Mann to the pile.

Tom Jordan briefly breaks through a gap but it's tighthead prop D'Arcy Rae with the ankle tap to bring him down.

Glasgow try and switch it left but Sebastian Cancelliere's offload goes straight into touch.

There's the confirmation that Jamie Ritchie has failed his HIA.

And there's a further problem as Luke Crosbie stays down after he slipped when fielding the kick-off.

Whatever he said to the ref, Eoghan Cross had a good laugh about it. He should be fine.

An intriguing second-half gets under way, with Tom Jordan launching it into the Murrayfield sky.

Edinburgh need another 17 points, while conceding none, if they want to win the 1872 Cup back. A lot of work to do.

    It's about being clinical.

When you play against good teams, you've got to execute good chances because you might not get any.

Sean Everitt will be happier than he was last week. They look co-ordinated. But they're still playing quite deep.

Franco Smith might be saying "at least we're only 3-0 down".

They've been in the Edinburgh 22m a couple of times, but had no success with the line-out maul. They've not done a huge amount.

Neither team has really threatened. It's been incredibly physical, some frantic passages of play, a lot of multi-phase attack but neither with significant yardage gain.

Not what Sean Everitt, or Gregor Townsend, will want to see.

Jamie Ritchie leaving the field with a nasty looking head knock, and he has yet to return. I doubt we'll see him again today.

    Tom English
BBC Scotland's chief sports writer on Sportsound

It's been cagey, it's been physical. Edinburgh are doing their job. They should be doing it a bit better because they've had a couple of decent chances.

Edinburgh have conceded no points, an improvement of 21 from last week. Glasgow have conceded seven penalties.

It's not all Edinburgh, but they are the dominant team and the better side. Glasgow haven't really played yet.

No tries in that first half, but a very different display to the one six days ago.

Glasgow have had two chances and missed them both, while Edinburgh have shown some of that much-needed pride and are unlucky to be further ahead at the break.

It's Edinburgh pushing now, but they're held up time and again. They rely on the advantage coming and they get it.

Tap penalty, Boan Venter. Is it the same as last week? No.

But Luke Crosbie stretches for the line... and spills as he tries to dot down.
