    It has been a really bizarre half of rugby, Ulster have been the better side and deserve their lead, but it has been really scrappy.

    Some of Ulster's attack has been wonderful but they have some things they need to tidy up as Bordeaux will come out strong in the second half.

    After a pulsating first half of rugby, Ulster go in with a narrow lead.

    Tries from Cormac Izuchukwu, Nick Timoney and Werner Kok reflect a strong first half performance from the hosts.

    However, an early try from Tevita Tatafu and a penalty try means that Bordeaux are still very much in the game.

    Relief for Ulster.

    Richie Murphy would have been furious had his side not added to their tally while Bordeaux were down to 13. They've not been short of opportunities but that flowing move gives them the edge at the break.

    What a try from Kok and it is nothing less than Ulster deserve.

    A great passage of play and a sweeping backs move sees the ball work its way to winger, Werner Kok, who has space to sprint over in the corner and put his side ahead before the break.

    The conversion goes wide but Ulster will be relieved to have capitalised on a spell of dominance at the end of the half.

    Penalty to Ulster for a high tackle and they will have one final opportunity to attack before the break.

    Good variety in attack from Ulster but the visitors are causing a lot of disruption at the breakdown.

    The visitors target a breakdown and win a penalty before securing their own lineout.

    The referee is in the unfortunate position of standing in the way of a rampaging Rob Herring and he brings it back for a scrum due to his own obstruction.

    A good attacking platform for Ulster if they can maintain parity at the scrum.
