The maul has been a real strength for Scotland in that first-half. It's been a tough ask for the US boys at the maul, they're struggling to stem the tide.

Scotland finally get their fourth, and most likely put the game out of the sight. That will be important to Gregor Townsend after what happened six years ago in Houston.
It hasn't all been easy - but that's mainly due to the tough, humid conditions in Washington DC. There's been slips and spills from both sides, but the story of the half has really been the US' indiscipline.
They've already coughed up numerous penalties and had one yellow card. They're lucky it's not more.
Meanwhile, Ewan Ashman has profited, and perhaps quietened any clamour around Dylan Richardson becoming Scotland's replacement for George Turner.

Ashman towels that ball furiously, and finds Jamie Ritchie with his throw. This time, the maul breaks apart and Ashman splashes over the line to ensure Scotland finish the first half with a try.
It's a first ever hat-trick for Ashman - and all in one half.
Adam Hastings lines it up, and maintains his perfect record with the last kick of the half.
The maul is sacked again, still no third for Ewan Ashman. The Scots are inches away - do they have the composure?
They think they're over, and George Horne is furiously screaming in the face of Jordan Way. He's told to calm down, as Greg Peterson is told the next US infringement will be a yellow.
Scotland's scrum is absolutely pulverised by the American pack there, perhaps reinvigorated by the return David Ainu'u - a teammate of Blair Kinghorn at Toulouse.
Jack Carty is going to attempt a monster penalty, from his own half. It looked like he'd just done his hamstring moments ago, but he's back up now.
He's got the driver out... but he's drawn it across the face to the left.

USA hosting the rugby World Cup in seven years. They’re gonna need every minute to get their house in order. Scotland haven’t needed to do much to go into a 21-0 lead in less than half an hour.
Another penalty, another kick to the corner. This time they go through the hands, Duhan van der Merwe slings a horrible-looking pass off his left, it goes to ground, but there's thankfully an advantage coming.
David Ainu’u is sent to the bin, made an example of by the referee.
