I don't know who your sources are Gareth, but I can confirm it is STILL raining here in Brisbane.

The poncho stand is doing a booming business!

What a creative and organised try.

A great kick from Lleucu George, a perfect weight on the kick.

This is the important part now, Wales need to be disciplined after the restart.

    Hannah Dallavalle (con Keira Bevan)

A lovely try for the former Wales captain who is now known as Hannah Dallavalle rather than Hannah Jones.

The centre latches onto a great chip from fly-half Lleucu George who recognised there was no full-back at home. Keira Bevan converts.

What an afternoon Nel Metcalfe is having, she's been at the heart of Wales' attack and defence.

The Nant Conwy youngster didn't get much game time during the Six Nations, but she's grabbed her opportunity with both hands today.

You have to be more disciplined, that try is going to change the half-time talk so much.

When you're playing one of the world's best, you can't make any mistakes or you will be punished.

  8. Half-time - Australia 12-14 Walespublished at 06:22 British Summer Time

What an eventful half. I would say 40 minutes but it was longer than that after we had that 30-minute delay for an electrical storm with the players coming off the field after 12 minutes of play.

Wales have coped better since the restart with full-back Nel Metcalfe scoring two tries.

Let's hope for no more weather breaks in the second half.

Australia bounce back almost immediately. Wales concede a penalty from the restart and number eight Tabua Tuinakauvadra is driven over. The conversion is missed.

Wales take the lead with a second try from full-back Net Metcalfe.

After a series of drives from the forwards, the ball is released wide with Metcalfe crossing. Keira Bevan converts.

That was a great attacking move from Wales after full-back Nel Metcalfe released wing Lisa Neumann.

They went through the phases but the move broke down after a knock-on from prop Donna Rose close to the Australia line.

    What a shame.

That was a great turnover from Alaw Pyrs.

She is a great youngster, what a presence she is all over the pitch.

Australia are trying to play some expansive rugby despite the wet weather conditions, but the Wales defence is standing firm and they are dominating the contact area at the moment.

Australia are making a few breaks, and are always looking for the offload, Wales need to tighten up now.

    Australia 7-7 Wales

Australia bounce back and almost score but are denied a try with a forward pass after some impressive defensive work from flanker Bethan Lewis.

Full-back Nel Metcalfe also gains a vital defensive turnover penalty.

That was a lovely pre-planned move, straight off the training ground. A great bit of play from Wales.

A really good move is when every single player does their bit, and that was a fine example of that.

Wales have been rewarded with a well-worked try from a scrum under the Australia posts.

Full-back Nel Metcalfe is worked into space and the 20-year-old crosses in the right-hand corner. Scrum-half Keira Bevan converts.
