The officials are taking their time over this one.

Bristol full-back Meryl Smith's arm is, according to the TMO, "clearly" underneath the ball. Sara Cox, the on-field referee, is not convinced.

Cox wants to be absolutely certain if she is to disallow the try.

    Bethan Lewis (46 mins)

    Game on.

Gloucester get bodies into the attack down the right, with Bethan Lewis among those joining in. It is the back row who picks up the loose ball and drives over the line.

TMO is checking this however. Was the ball held up?

Mia Venner, who hasn't had much opportunity to getforward today for Gloucester, almost escapes down the left but is caught.

But now they move the play to the right...

A reminder that Gloucester lost just once in the regular season, while Bristol were beaten five times in their 16 league matches.

This would be quite the upset if things stay like this.

Why you need to start playing rugby

    Why get into rugby union?

If you enjoy being active and want to build your fitness with team mates then this is the game for you.

    Who is it for?

It's one of the most inclusive sports around and there are various versions of the game that you can test out.

    Is there a cheap option?

You can just play touch rugby in the park with a bunch of friends or family, but joining a club can be inexpensive.

What if I want a proper workout?

From scrummaging to tackling, to sprinting with the ball, this can be a high intensity workout that will boost both your fitness and your strength.

Can I take it to another level?

Work your way up. Start with a club then look to your county and from there people will start noticing you.

    Is there a disability option?

Wheelchair rugby was a big hit at the 2012 Paralympics. There are now chances to have a go all over the UK.

    Is there a family option?

Most clubs will cater for all the family with kids' teams, and men's and women's teams for mum and dad.

    Very clinical from the Bears.

We talk about the multiple phases they're happy to go through, and I think that's really smart play. They got close to the line, they were quite happy to say 'give us the ball and we're going to do it' - the forwards go to work.

Gloucester look shell-shocked, this was not in their script.

    Hannah Botterman (38 mins)

    The shock is on!

Bristol bring their forwards into play at the perfect time, Sarah Bern crashing through the defensive line before being stopped right on the try line.

It is only a matter of time however, and prop Hannah Botterman uses every ounce of her strength to power over and ground the ball.

Amber Reed has a better angle for this conversion, and it is good! Bristol have a 10-point cushion.

Bristol continue to dominate the attacking play.

Reneeqa Bonner almost away down the right, but is stopped. It looks as if she might have had her hair pulled too.

Now Bears come down the left, but are held up on the line...

Bristol are a team of contrasts. They like to play through the hands, but their clearest way to score tries comes in the maul.

Their way is working so far, they lead and have had the bulk of opportunities.

    Lark Atkin-Davies (32 mins)

    This time the maul works!

From the line-out, they get the bodies behind the ball again, and brawl their way over the line with Lark Atkin-Davies the woman to score.

The conversion from the left wing is too difficult once again. Zero from two for Amber Reed.
