Gloucester continue to give away too many penalties on the ground, however.

Referee Sara Cox is having a stern word with the women in red and white, as Bristol kick for the corner. A line-out in a good position here.

It's a brilliant score and the Gloucester fans love it. That's just Gloucester at their very best, moving the ball and getting it their own way.

The tip-on from Sarah Beckett is top-drawer.

    Gloucester-Hartpury 7-5 Bristol Bears

Bristol had to go through 20+ phases for their try. Gloucester scored with their first passing move of the game.

Is that the difference in quality which could prove decisive across 80 minutes?

    Captain fantastic!

The first flowing move Gloucester have pieced together all game, and it ends in a try.

A superb reverse pass by Sarah Beckett, another powerful carry by Bethan Lewis, and she lays off to Mo Hunt to provide the finishing touch.

She scores under the posts, and the conversion is good from Emma Sing.

    The champions lead.

A rare event, as Abbie Ward fumbles and loses a Bears line-out.

There is definitely still a tension to this game, you can feel how big it is to both teams.

Bristol are fighting at every second!

Back row Bethan Lewis gets the ball following a turnover, but she simply cannot get away and is swamped by navy shirts.

Bristol get possession back. This is going perfectly for Bears fans so far.

Hmm, Gloucester get a line-out in a good position - but the throw from Neve Jones is not straight.

Possession is cheaply turned over to Bristol.

Sam Monaghan is Gloucester's co-captain and a cornerstone of this side. That is a huge blow for the reigning champions.

They have a lot of work on to get back in this game.

    We are back under way.

If you ever needed an example of how Bristol Bears play, that is it.

It looks a bit loose, it looks like they're not going anywhere and then all of a sudden they get a gap.

When you've got the pace and the accuracy of their outside backs, Courtney Keight couldn't get an easier run in.

Gloucester lock Sam Monaghan went down during that long phase of play and is now getting extensive treatment.

It looks like a problem with her knee, and she is going to be carried off on a stretcher.

Never nice to see, and Monaghan rightly gets applauded from the field by the crowd.

    Deserved.

It's one of the longest moves of the entire season, more than 20 phases of play, and it builds to the perfect conclusion as Courtney Keight makes space down the left wing to touch down and open the scoring.

The conversion is not made, a difficult kick from way on the left touchline.

Bristol look completely at ease in their first Premiership final.

If Abbie Ward had have reached out, I think she would have been over. I don't think she realises where she was.

A fantastic move by Bristol, terrific wing play down the right before passing inside and getting right to the line.

But the ball is held up! Hannah Jones with a terrific piece of last-gasp defending to keep Gloucester level.

Bears are racking up the penalties early doors. They have had the majority of possession, although have done little with it so far.

Given we expect Gloucester to grow into this game, Bristol will want to make this good spell count.

How good is the chess battle already? Did anyone expect Bristol to kick from the midfield? No, so immediately we've already got those cogs turning and minds working. Gloucester, in back field, know they've got to be right on it.

Gloucester get some ball in hand for the first time.

A cute grubber kick gets the Bristol defence on their heels, but the Bears manage to withstand the pressure this time and regain possession with a scrum.
