It was certainly a slow burner, and not a game anyone will be in a hurry to watch back, but the Ospreys got the job done.

They needed a bonus-point win to keep their play-off hopes alive going into the final game of the season and they achieved just that.

Dragons moved 6-0 ahead in the early stages, but tries from Dewi Lake (two), Reuben Morgan-Williams and Keiran Williams put Ospreys in command.

Dragons did hit back with a try of their own through Will Reed, and the visitors finished strongly, but they wasted their two big chances with knock-ons.

Ospreys captain Justin Tipuric told Premier Sport: "We knew a win wasn't enough to today, we changed our game plan a bit.

"The boys stuck at it and we got there in the end.

"Morgan Morris has been amazing for years now, he's safe for us, class. He's a great bloke as well.

"It's been one of those seasons where we've always tried to be in the play-offs.

"Wining the Welsh Shield is nice but you want to be in the play-offs at the end of the season.

"Every year we push, we don't want to make up numbers, and hopefully we get there."

Credit to the Ospreys, in a poor season they have probably been the one shining light for Wales.

That could have changed by the time they line-up for their final game against Cardiff on 1 June, but for today it is job done.

The Dragons are not giving up on this bonus point, and they are edging closer and closer.

The Dragons win the penalty at the scrum, but they will not have time to turn this game around now.

They can earn a losing bonus-point with a late try here, and they have the line-out a few metres out.

Hopefully Keiran Williams gets an opportunity for Wales this summer.

He has shown he can do it in the URC. I'd like to see him get the chance to do it at international level.

A penalty goes the way of the Dragons just inside Ospreys territory, Sam Parry penalised for not rolling away.

The kick to the corner is a good one, and the Dragons will have an attacking line-out about 10 metres out.

Every time the tempo goes up, the Dragons look quite dangerous.

But the Ospreys have been too clinical, too streetwise. They have controlled the tempo of the game for the most part.

The game has got a little scrappy in this last few minutes, during which the Dragons are looking more threatening than they have for the majority of this game.

One converted try from the visitors could set up a nervy finish, so Ospreys need to stay focused.
