  1. Penaltypublished at 38 mins

    Bath 6-10 Bristol

Bath are penalised from the breakdown once again, holding on on the deck, but Kalaveti Ravouvou is under scrutiny from the TMO for a high tackle on Alfie Barbeary.

No second yellow for the Fijian, just a penalty, as it's deemed his chest made the contact.

Finn Russell slots a close-range penalty to reduce the gap to four points.

  2. 'Randall injury a blow for Bristol'published at 20:30 British Summer Time 6 June

    Bath 3-10 Bristol

    Topsy Ojo
Former England back on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's a huge blow for Bristol, not just for tonight but potentially for next weekend and in the summer for England.

We hope it's just precautionary but it doesn't look good.

  3. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Bath 3-10 Bristol

Bears scrum-half Harry Randall is in some discomfort with what looks like a possible dislocated shoulder after attempting a stiff-arm.

He wants to stay on, that is clear, but he's heading off.

Big blow for Bears but Kieran Marmion is off the bench.

Breathless stuff, this, end to end and 100mph.

There are tired legs, lungs and minds all over The Rec, and in the stands too I expect.

The home fans are trying to get behind their heroes but Bristol have enjoyed the better of proceedings as we creep towards half-time.

  5. 'Bristol are defending very well'published at 20:25 British Summer Time 6 June

    Bath 3-10 Bristol

    Andrew Sheridan
    BBC Radio Bristol commentator

Everyone says what a wonderful attacking side Bristol are but they've also defended very well so far.

  6. Postpublished at 34 mins

    Bath 3-10 Bristol

Bristol are back to a full compliment with Kalaveti Ravouvou back from the bin and win a penalty to ease pressure on their own line with Noah Heward getting the hosts to hold on in the ruck.

  7. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Bath 3-10 Bristol

Bears kick to the corner but Gabriel Oghre's line-out is straight to Bath's Quinn Roux to loud cheers from the home faithful.

Finn Russell's boot then pins the Bears back in their own half, though Oghre's line-out this time finds a white shirt.

    Bath 3-10 Bristol

    Gareth Chilcott

Bristol are making Bath look ragged and Bath don't like being ragged. They are making Bath chase shadows.

It's a fantastic game of rugby.

  9. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Bath 3-10 Bristol

Gabriel Ibitoye runs 40 metres straight across his 22 after Bath cough up possession on their right and slings the ball wide to Steven Luatua to power his side forward to midfield.

The Bears inch their way forward with a series of drives and AJ MacGinty finds James Dun who is stopped short of the line by a desperate tackle under the posts and Guy Pepper manages to turn the ball over for Bath.

Some incredible powerful running and slick handling from the visitors, but nothing to show for it this time.

  10. 'Bristol's inconsistency shown'published at 20:15 British Summer Time 6 June

    Bath 3-10 Bristol

    Sophie Hurcom
    BBC Sport at the Rec

The past five minutes has really summed up some of the inconsistency that has frustrated Bristol all season.

One minute they are scoring an absolutely stunning try and the next a bit of poor indiscipline out of nowhere and they're down to 14 with a player in the sin-bin.

When the two sides met not even a month ago at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Bristol received four yellow cards - twice going down to 13 men.

That day, Bristol hung on to see out the win but Pat Lam will really need his players to avoid another repeat if they're to come away with the victory tonight.

  11. Sin-binpublished at 24 mins

    Bath 3-10 Bristol

Bristol's Kalaveti Ravouvou is shown a yellow card for preventing Ben Spencer taking a quick tap penalty with a trip while he was still on the ground after being tackled.

Finn Russell adds the simple penalty to close the gap to seven and his side now have a man advantage for 10 minutes.

  12. 'Breathtaking from Bristol'published at 20:10 British Summer Time 6 June

    Bath 0-10 Bristol

    Gareth Chilcott
Ex-England and Bath prop on BBC Radio Bristol

Quite breathtaking from Bristol. It was a typical team try. That was Bristol at their best and they took Bath apart.

They are absolutely irresistible at the moment. Brilliant rugby.

This is where Bath really need to get together. They've got to go back to the starting board again.

  13. try

From their own line to the other...

Kalaveti Ravouvou has to chase back within a metre or two of his own line to gather a long clearing kick but scoots down the right flank and flatten a tackler on his way to halfway.

The ball is worked across the field before coming back inside where Bernhard Janse van Rensburg does well to pave the way for James Dun - born in Bath - to dart through a gap to dive under the posts from five metres out.

AJ MacGinty adds the extra and all of a sudden the Bears have a 10-point lead.

  14. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Bath 0-3 Bristol

Viliame Mata bulldozes his way through a ruck to win the ball back for Bristol and set the Bears away on one of their dangerous breaks into open field.

The hosts manage to hold on but the Bears are beginning to cause them some problems in their own half with the ball.

  15. 'Bristol just deserve lead'published at 20:03 British Summer Time 6 June

    Bath 0-3 Bristol

    Gareth Chilcott
Ex-England and Bath prop on BBC Radio Bristol

There's nothing between these two sides apart from three points.

Both sides are showing a bit of promise but Bristol probably just deserve the lead because Bath have given a couple of silly penalties away.

  16. Penaltypublished at 13 mins

    Bath 0-3 Bristol

Bristol strike first as they work the ball in from the right after a break from Noah Heward and win a penalty infront of the posts which is meat and drink for AJ MacGinty.

  17. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Bath 0-0 Bristol

First glimpse of Bath's ability with ball in hand as the ball is worked wide right to Tom de Glanville, but he runs out of space and his hopeful chip forward is straight to AJ MacGinty who calls a mark and relieves the pressure.

  18. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Bath 0-0 Bristol

It's already apparent that Bath do not want to allow their visitors to build up a head of steam and start working the ball around... they have taken a couple of opportunities to launch the ball into touch in midfield to reset and regroup already, the latest from Tom de Glanville.

  19. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Bath 0-0 Bristol

Ellis Genge is a proud Bristol boy and you can see how much this means to him in his 60th appearance for the Bears. He is in the middle of everything but he also needs to keep a lid on his emotions.

He's up against his potential Lions team-mate Will Stuart in the scrum tonight, with double World Cup winner Thomas du Toit on the bench for Bath.

  20. 'Really poor play from Bristol'published at 19:53 British Summer Time 6 June

    Bath 0-0 Bristol

    Gareth Chilcott
Ex-England and Bath prop on BBC Radio Bristol

That is the worst possible start for Bristol. Completely out of order.

Maybe it's the nerves but it was really poor play.

It's silly to give away a reversal penalty in a really tight game early on.

    They're on the rack now.
