Scotland and New Zealand drew 25-25 when they clashed at Murrayfield in 1983

The first meeting of the sides was nearly 120 years ago to the day as New Zealand won 7-12 at Inverleith.

There have been 31 further matches in the intervening period - Scotland have lost 29 of them.

A 0-0 draw at Murrayfield in January 1964 and a 25-25 draw at Murrayfield in November 1983 are the closest Scotland have come to beating New Zealand.

In both 2017 and 2022, Scotland came close before ultimately falling short.

One of sport's longest unbeaten runs.
