    Munster 7-7 Ospreys

Real intensity to this game in the early stages as the sides exchange possession in midfield.

A breathless opening 10 minutes but a scrum now awarded to Ospreys will maybe give both teams a much needed breather.

Ospreys win the scrum penalty and the scrum wheels around.

    What a response from Ospreys!

End-to-end stuff here at Thomond Park.

Reuben Morgan-Williams with a delicate chip over the top and Owen Watkins collects before passing inside to Morgan Morris.

Morris supplies Keelan Giles who dives over for a well-worked score.

Very poor defence there from the Ospreys, but all credit to Munster they worked through the phases well.

Simon Zebo rode the tackles well and had that desire to get himself over.

Tonight is about showing consistency in all areas for the Ospreys, they're a team who need to have that edge about them.

There's no tomorrow for them, they've got to leave it all out there.

I've been to Thomond Park many times as a player, there's no tougher place to go, but that needs to spur the Ospreys on tonight.

The Ospreys had a 2% chance of getting into the play-offs before last week, when you think of those odds, it really is a remarkable achievement to get here.

Toby Booth has built something over these last few years, the work he's put in has got him here now, the Ospreys have got nothing to lose.

    Munster v Ospreys (19:35 BST)

Ospreys head coach Toby Booth says his side will have to suffer if they are to upset Munster in the United Rugby Championship (URC) play-offs.

Ospreys sneaked into the top half of the URC table with a bonus-point win against Cardiff on the last weekend of the regular season to set up a quarter-final trip to face the top side and defending champions at Thomond Park.

“We’ve got ourselves to the window of opportunity, and we’re excited about it," said Booth.

“Dealing with the occasion is a challenge and how we get to show our best. We understand against the best like Munster that’s not always possible.

"We need to understand it’s not always about getting it your own way, sometimes you’re going to have to suffer and hang in there.

“We’re in knockout rugby, there are no second chances."

Booth's side are the first Welsh team to reach the play-offs in six years.

“If Welsh teams are successful everybody wins," said Booth.

"This is what we’re in it for, you’ve got to dare to dream.

“We set out at the start to get here, our goals were to get into the play-offs, get into the knockout stages of Europe, and win the Welsh shield.

"We’ve achieved all three of those and now everything is a stretched target.

"It is a credit to everyone in the group, the overriding emotion after last weekend was pride.

"We’re here now, let’s see how we do.”

  12. URC play-offs get under way in Limerickpublished at 19:01 British Summer Time 7 June

    Munster v Ospreys (19:35 BST)

Good evening and welcome to our live text commentary of this evening's first URC quarter-final between defending champions Munster and Welsh side Ospreys at Thomand Park.

Recent history favours the hosts with Munster having won their last nine league fixtures and have not lost to a Welsh side since they were defeated by Dragons at Rodney Parade in September 2022.

Ospreys have made the play-offs for the first time since they were semi-finalists in 2016-17 and they have won just one of their last nine fixtures against Irish provinces, a 19-17 home victory against Ulster in February this year.

Despite being huge underdogs Toby Booth's side will be hoping to spring an upset in Limerick whilst Graham Rowntree's team will be aiming to secure their passage to another semi-final.

Thanks for joining us - enjoy!
