A third try feels a more suitable reflection of the dominance England have shown in this first half.

Morgane Bourgeois lands the penalty with no alarms and France are finally on the scoresheet, which with only 14 on the pitch is a decent effort.

France make good ground with a fine run from Joanna Grisez stretching England's defence. Eventually there's an infringement and France have a penalty chance.

France have all of the ambition to attack, but they're doing it without much structure.

England attack close to the try line, but a stray pass is hoofed clear by Morgane Bourgeois. The full back looks to about to go clear, but the bounce of the ball defeats her attempt at another kick on - it's an air shot, which never looks good. We've all been there.

Charlotte Escudero moves into the second row and centre Carla Niesen moves to flanker at a scrum, which then descends into a bit of fisticuffs and finger-pointing that the referee isn't happy with, giving both captains a ticking off

The referee had warned France, but Manae Feleu didn't take it in and after another infringement she's shown the yellow card to give England a numerical advantage for 10 minutes.

The battle for possession at the breakdown is something else, tonight!

The French scrums holds firm and they bravely run it of defence. They don't get too far but they get a penalty after a turnover at the breakdown, and Carla Arbez hoofs it to touch by the 22.

It's even higher pressure now for France, knowing the next penalty is going to lead to a yellow card. They're going to have to be really clean.

France prop Rose Bernadou has had a lot of strapping wrapped around her right leg, she limps on gamefully but looks to be struggling.

Refreshed by the drinks break, England are camped out seven metres out, disrupting a French scrum. Alexandra Chambon box kicks to the 22 but only straight to Ellie Kildunne.

Play stretches ot the left flank, and at another kick out of defence, it's Kildunne on the touchline there with the catch to run it back at France. The world player of the year seems to be everywhere at the moment.
