    Cardiff 7-19 Ulster

Cardiff guilty of being offside on halfway and Nathan Doak doesnt need to be asked twice to hammer the penalty into the Cardiff 22.

The visitors can do nothing in attack though and Cardiff win back the ball and take play back up towards the halfway line.

    Connacht 19-0 Dragons

15 minutes played in the second half and Peter Wilkins has turned to the bomb squad as he empties the bench.

He would have hoped to have the bonus point sewn up by now but it has been a fairly turgid opening to the second half.

    Cardiff 7-19 Ulster

    Cardiff almost in again.

Untidy but effective play from the hosts and as they surge into the Ulster 22 and inside pass almost sends Mason Grady under the posts but he can't hold onto the ball and Ulster escape.

Converted Try - Cardiff 7-19 Ulsterpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 26 October

    Iwan Stephens (try) - 49mins

And Cardiff do make it count.

The Welsh outfit attack from right to left and once it gets to Stephens in space, there is no way he is going to be stopped from touching down in the corner.

    Super conversion from out wide.

    Cardiff 0-19 Ulster

Dave McCann of Ulster is shown a yellow card for an offside.

Cardiff kick the resulting penalty inside the Ulster 22 once more. Need to make this one count.

  6. CLOSE!published at 20:45 British Summer Time 26 October

    Cardiff 0-19 Ulster

Great break by Ben Thomas showing electric pace for the hosts.

The ball is eventually passed to Mason Grady.

He looks set to score for Cardiff in the corner but Mike Lowry gets an ankle tap in, and the winger falls short of the line and is bundled into touch.

So much better for the Welsh side this half.

    Cardiff 0-19 Ulster

Better attack from Cardiff as they are punching holes in the Ulster defence.

They spread the ball wide right but a forward pass to Evan Lloyd on the wing loses the momentum. Scrum Ulster inside their own 22.

But Harry Sheridan turns over the lineout for Ulster and Nathan Doak clears.

The feeling of dissappointment is palpable amongst Cardiff fans.

Positive start from the hosts as they win a penalty inside the Ulster 22 and they go to the corner.

Cardiff get the ball rolling in the second half and have all the work to do.

  12. Half-timepublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 26 October

    Connacht 19-0 Dragons

A very solid, workmanlike performance from Peter Wilkins' men as they go into the break a try away from a bonus point and have kept the visitors' attack at bay.

Tries from Paul Boyle, Caolin Blade and Cian Prendergast plus two conversions from Cathal Forde are the difference at the interval.

  13. Half-timepublished at 20:26 British Summer Time 26 October

    Cardiff 0-19 Ulster

The referee's whistle goes and it has been a very comfortable half for Ulster.

Tries from Cormac Izuchukwu and a brace for Jude Postlethwaite are enough to leave them well placed heading into the sheds for the break.

  14. Postpublished at 20:24 British Summer Time 26 October

    Cardiff 0-19 Ulster

Ulster retain the ball and win a penalty.

    Nathan Doak clears to touch.

    Cardiff 0-19 Ulster

Break in play as a couple of players receiving treatment.

60 seconds left of the half and Ulster have a scrum 15 metres from their own line.

You feel Cardiff need something before the break.

  16. try

Try Connacht 19-0 Dragonspublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 26 October

    Cian Prendergast - 39mins

After claiming the ball at the lineout, Cian Prendergast hangs on the narrow side and waits for possession to come back his way.

The Connacht captain gets a short pass from acting scrum half Bundee Aki and barrels over the top of Dragions scrum half Dan Blacker to power his way over the line from 15 metres out.

He probably could have gone closer to the posts and Cathal Forde won't thank him as he pushes the extras wide.

    Cardiff 0-19 Ulster

Some end-to-end phases on the pitch.

First, Cardiff attack then the ball is turned over near the Ulster 22 and the visitors kick downfield via Mike Lowry, before Cardiff punt long once more.

A few of the bigger men will be glad of a rest as Nathan Doak finds touch on halfway.

Iain Henderson is off and Harry Sheridan is on.

Unclear if it is a HIA but there will be concern as the captain is just back from concussion injury.

  19. Postpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 26 October

    Cardiff 0-19 Ulster

Both sides pushing things quite hard with the ball and it is leading to a number of handling errors.

Play settles down with a scrum to Cardiff on the edge of their 22.

  20. Postpublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 26 October

    Cardiff 0-19 Ulster

The hosts build some impressive phases on the edge of Ulster's 22 but unfortunately they knock-on once more.

Possession appears to be the key.
