The French defence is just as good as their attack.

Wales had a sustained period of pressure, but Dafydd Jenkins knocks-on in the tackle.

    The chance goes begging.

    Much better.

The offloading, that's how you can get behind this French defence.

Jac Morgan did so well to keep the ball alive there.

Wales replace their props and Nicky Smith and Keiron Assiratti are on for Gareth Thomas and Henry Thomas.

Wales just showed a glimpse of what they can do in attack.

Some great hands from Josh Adams, Jac Morgan and Tomos Williams as they work their way down the left wing.

    France 28-0 Wales

France are throwing the ball around for fun, it's great to watch, but Wales defend well and force the knock-on.

Discipline will be so important, and cutting out the mistakes.

France will be so confident and they'll run everything at Wales.

Wales are working hard, Jac Morgan has been excellent, leading from the front.

They just have to keep faith.

They have to keep winning their collisions in attack and defence, speed up the ball and if they don't cross the gain line, kick better.

  9. France not perfectpublished at 21:20 Greenwich Mean Time 31 January

    James Hook
Former Wales fly-half on BBC Radio Wales

France made a lot of errors in that first-half as well, they haven't been perfect.

But every opportunity they have had in that 22 they have taken.

You can't say that for Wales, they have been in the 22 of France a couple of times and come away with nothing.

England have a new captain for this year's championship.

Maro Itoje replaced Jamie George as skipper earlier this month after England only won five of their 12 Tests in 2024.

"I don't want to lose and losing is not what I am about," Itoje told the BBC's Rugby Union Weekly.

"There is no greater honour than winning with England. You win with your club and that is special, but winning with England is a different kettle of fish.

"I want this team to feel that and achieve that and I think we can."

    Jonathan Davies
Wales and British & Irish Lions centre on Clwb Rygbi

I think Wales have just given him too much time to see what's in front of him.

You could see that with the first try.

Dupont fakes a kick, Josh Adams moves thinking they're putting width on the ball.

Then Dupont has time to put in the kick.

France look so dangerous whenever they're close to the Wales try line.

We've seen a variety of tries.

Bielle-Biarrey is so good at the moment. He's had the most involvements in tries in Europe this season.

    And that sidestep!

    That's the bonus-point.

Wales did well to stop the maul, but Antoine Dupont ships the ball out wide for Louis Bielle-Biarrey who steps Tom Rogers for his second.

    There was loads of space.

  18. Postpublished at 39 mins

Theo Attissogbe almost gets his hat-trick.

This time it's Romaine Ntamack with the cross-field kick, but the bounce wasn't kind for the French winger.

Wales have one minute to stop France from claiming the bonus-point before half-time.
