McGovern and Seaton sixth after opening Weymouth 49er races

Irish pair Matt McGovern and Ryan Seaton are sixth overall in the 49er class after the opening three races at the Sail for Gold event in Weymouth.

The Ulster duo, who finished 14th at last year's London Olympics, won the opening race in Weymouth before placing eighth and 15th in the next two races.

Tiffany Brien and Saskia Tidey are eighth after three races in the women's 49er event in Weymouth.

Their Irish team-mates Andrea Brewster and Claudine Murphy lie seventh.

In the Laser class, Bangor man James Espey finished 17th in the opening race.
