Great Britain women secured an invite to next month's World Aquatics Championships with an 11-9 win over Croatia at the European Water Polo Championships.

Britain trailed 9-7 with five minutes left in Eindhoven before a double from Kathy Rogers levelled.

Lily Turner put Britain in front with 45 seconds left with her fourth goal, before Toula Falvey wrapped up victory.

It means Nick Buller's side finish seventh, their best result since 2012.

That finish is enough to seal automatic qualification for the European Championships in 2026 as well as an invite to appear in their first World Championships since 2013 in Doha next month.

"It's all about supporting each other. We are all here to build each other up as players and learn from each other, grow as a team," said Buller.

"Our team, the girls at home made us the team we are today, our entire squad is here with us celebrating."
