Kara Hanlon believes she is capable of swimming her best ever times to qualify for this summer's Olympic Games.

Hanlon goes in the 200m breaststroke final at the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships on Wednesday night, having been the fastest in the heats.

However, the Scot would need to take three seconds off that time - and two off her personal best - to meet the qualifying standard for Paris.

The Scot, 26, will also compete in the 100m breaststroke in London on Sunday.

"It's going to be both have to be lifetime bests and, qualifying for an Olympics, you'd expect that," Hanlon told BBC Scotland.

"In the 100m, my PB is 1:06.36 and the qualifying time is 1:06.31, so it's really close.

"With the 200m, my PB is 2:25.01 and the time to be under is 2:23, so that's going to be a bit of a bigger drop, but I think I'm capable of that in terms of how well it's been going the last two years."
