Wimbledon 2015: 'Good argument for early starts' says Tim Henman

Caroline Wozniacki has never got past the fourth round at Wimbledon.

Ex-British number one Tim Henman says there is "a good argument" to start earlier on Wimbledon's show courts.

Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki has said she would "love" to play on a big court but women were not given enough opportunities.

"If we started a little bit earlier, then if we had quicker matches then perhaps we could accommodate two men's and two women's," said Henman.

"It's definitely going be a talking point going forward."

Former world number one Wozniacki, 24, criticised tournament organisers after her loss to Spain's Garbine Muguruza in the fourth round on court two.

"You only get one women's match on Court One and Centre Court," she said."I think a lot of us women feel like we deserve to play on the big courts in front of a big crowd as well."

Henman, who is on the board of the All England Club, believes starting matches earlier is "definitely going be a talking point going forward".

Play on Centre Court and Court number One currently starts at 13:00 BST, with three matches played on each a day.

"There is quite a few different stakeholders that have input into the daily schedule," Henman said on BBC Radio 5 live's 6-0-6.

"It would be interesting to ask our debenture holders who pay a lot of money for their tickets on Centre Court. It's very interesting - starting play at 13:00 works for show courts with hospitality, with the royal box.

"Now I am more involved in the committee I'm seeing that a lot of matches are really struggling to finish."
