Still we wait for a break point as Finland's finest Heliovaara hits a backhand winner on the half volley and then Max Purcell fires a return into the net.
Cool as you like from Hazza and Henners.

Heliovaara didn't quite get enough on the volley and he was just a sitting duck.
Purcell/Thompson 7-6 (9-7) 3-2 Heliovaara/Patten*
Big moment. Henry Patten leads 40-15 but some great baseline hitting from the Australians soon forces deuce.
Purcell/Thompson 7-6 (9-7) 3-2 Heliovaara/Patten*
Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten have half a sniff, up 15-30, the closest anyone has come to a break point.
But Max Purcell responds with some piledrivers to hold to 30.

That was fabulous. Some great little dinks at the net and they were handled well.
*Purcell/Thompson 7-6 (9-7) 2-2 Heliovaara/Patten
An epic rally full of dunks and dinks is won on Harri Heliovaara's serve. 40-0.
Next point, and oh my goodness what a moment, catch of the tournament in the stands!
Heliovaara's serve is shanked up into the air by Jordan Thompson and is taken in the crowd by a gentleman in the front row, diving forward and plucking the ball out of the air with his right mitt.
Get him in the Test squad!
Purcell/Thompson 7-6 (9-7) 2-1 Heliovaara/Patten*
Another simple hold for the Aussies, they just don't have any weakness on serve, do they?
Jordan Thompson gets his first serves in and holds to love. Harri Heliovaara shakes his head.
*Purcell/Thompson 7-6 (9-7) 1-1 Heliovaara/Patten
Doubles matches, well tennis matches in general can run away from you when you're not looking.
Briton Henry Patten appears a little nervy as he's taken to 40-30 on his serve, but then benefits from a tight net that keeps a Max Purcell forehand on the Australian's side of the court.

What a fightback it almost was from Patten and Heliovaara in this tie break.
From 6-1 down they saved five set points and then created one of their own at 7-6 having won six points in a row. But the Australian pair won three points back-to-back themselves to win the set and move halfway to the title.
Patten was born in Colchester, Essex, grew up and went to school in Ipswich, Suffolk and is a fan of Ipswich Town. He is 6ft 6in with a booming serve to match.
He has a great backstory as eight years ago he was working on the outside courts at Wimbledon collecting stats for IBM.
He won't like the stat of the current score though, nor the stat that shows the Australian duo have won 92% of the points when they have got their first serves in.

The hard part about that change over for Heliovaara and Patten was that they got so close from nowhere. They had set point. They cannot dip and go down an early break.
Purcell/Thompson 7-6 (9-7) 1-0 Heliovaara/Patten*
Keep up folks, we're racing along on Centre Court.
Max Purcell continues his team's dominance on serve, starting the second set with a hold to 15.
Missed Barbora Krejcikova's Wimbledon win earlier? Here's how the new women's champion reacted:

I thought for a moment Heliovaara had shanked a winner off the frame but it was just wide.
Purcell/Thompson 7-6 (9-7) 0-0 Heliovaara/Patten*
At the sixth time of asking Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson take the opening set after a nail-biting 48 minutes.
A beautiful lob from Max Purcell forces a backpedalling error from Harri Heliovaara.
Purcell/Thompson 6-6 (8-7) Heliovaara/Patten*
Thompson ace. And now Henry Patten will serve to keep his team in the set.
*Purcell/Thompson 6-6 (7-7) Heliovaara/Patten
Clutch first serve from Jordan Thompson and Heliovaara returns it long.
*Purcell/Thompson 6-6 (6-7) Heliovaara/Patten
Harri Heliovaara hits a backhand slice winner. The tables have completely turned.

Henry Patten hasn't been making a lot of returns but he certainly made one there.
