Emma Raducanu gave Great Britain the perfect start with a singles win over Viktoria Hruncakova...

And it looked good for the Brits when Katie Boulter took the first set against Rebecca Sramkova, but Sramkova fought back to take us to a deciding doubles match...

In that doubles contest, Hruncakova and Tereza Mihalikova were too strong for the British pairing of Heather Watson and Olivia Nicholls, meaning Slovakia will face Italy in the final on Wednesday.

Viktoria Hruncakova, speaking after Slovakia's doubles win over Great Britain: "We all feel absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was amazing and we played our best doubles in our lives. We're so happy to be in the final."

Doubles partner Tereza Mihalikova: "I cried like a baby but now I'm very calm and ready for tomorrow. We need one more win, then we can touch the trophy."

Slovakia will play Italy in the final on Wednesday at 16:00 GMT.

It's just so hard in these moments when it's everything you wanted, everything you were planning for, it's just the execution wasn't quite the same there.

They came so close, having won the opening singles match and then gone a set up in the second, but credit to Slovakia for their fightback.

For the second time in three years, Great Britain's BJK Cup campaign ends at the semi-final stage.

And Slovakia make the perfect start, although there's a huge slice of luck as Hruncakova's forehand clips the top of the net and races past Watson.

GB get back to 15-15 though.

Tereza Mihalikova smashes the winner on break point to confirm the double break and she will now serve for the match.

That's outstanding from Viktoria Hruncakova, who shifts away from the power game to produce a sumptuous lob for two more break points.

Oh dear... a Nicholls double fault makes it 0-30 on the GB serve...

And here's a chance for a break as Heather Watson's volleyed winner brings up 30-30...

But Tereza Mihalikova smashes a winner which hits Olivia Nicholls on the foot and she holds a hand up to apologise.

Game point Slovakia, which they take.

Almost at the point of no return now for Great Britain, they can't afford many more mistakes.

Heather Watson holds comfortably to bring GB back to 3-2 down, but still requiring a break of serve to keep this tie alive.
