Throwing in slower, loopier balls and letting the wind do its bit could be a useful tactic for Gauff.

We saw Sabalenka get completely confused by the trajectory of the ball before dumping it into the net at deuce.

This is getting gnarly for the Tiger Queen. She's snarling and gesticulating after virtually every point.

This is fascinating stuff - not because we are seeing a high level of tennis but because of the nerves and the tension. It's all about who is going to blink first.

In difficult windy conditions, it's not always the person that is playing the best tennis but the person who wins the most important points.

    *Sabalenka 5-4 Gauff

    Naomi Broady
British player on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds

It is such a fine balance for Coco Gauff on the forehand because she doesn't feel confident enough to go toe-to-toe hitting her forehand bigger and bigger every time.

She wouldn't fancy that against Aryna Sabalenka, and maybe even a lot of the other girls, because she knows that is her weakness.

She does try to add variation but that means she doesn't back herself to hit consistent forehand shots in the big moments.

Jaws hit the floor when Sabalenka made that mistake.

What was she thinking? Maybe she thought the wind was going to help send it long. No idea.

This is almost a carbon copy of Sabalenka's semi-final win over Iga Swiatek.

Her ferocious power helping forge a comfortable lead before her opponent finds her rhythm and gets more balls back.
