    Final: Gauff 6-1 6-2 Raducanu

It took Coco Gauff one hour and 19 minutes to beat Emma Raducanu, but the scoreline doesn't really show the good work the British number two did in the second set.

In the end Raducanu ran out of steam and belief - Gauff was just too strong for her, even with a few mistakes chucked in.

Raducanu will now have two weeks off before Roland-Garros.

Thanks as always for joining us, have a great afternoon!

More from Coco Gauff speaking to Sky Sports:

"It was tough conditions, super windy and this court is super dry compared to the other ones. I played a match on here yesterday so I knew what to expect.

"Emma is a tough opponent, no matter what surface it is, she's tough to play against."

Things quickly got away from Emma Raducanu - and that's down to Coco Gauff's quality.

The world number three's returning game - from both wings - had too much weight and pace for Raducanu to deal with.

A lesson for Raducanu to learn from, but a lot for her to build on from her run in Rome.

    Next up? Roland Garros....

World number three Coco Gauff speaking to Sky Sports:

"I'm getting better every match, Madrid was a step in the right direction.

"Obviously I got to the final and I don't like losing, so I'm hoping to redeem myself here [in Italy].

    What to improve on clay:

"Today my forehand was a big weapon and it set me up for a lot of short balls, a lot of points. That's going to help me the most."

At the start of the match we also talked about how Raducanu might struggle if Gauff's returning game is on point.

That was illustrated perfectly in the last game.

Gauff used her court coverage and athleticism - as well as supreme technical skills, of course - to keep batting the ball back.

Raducanu could not stick with her opponent enough and now faces an even bigger task to turn this match around.
