    Emma Raducanu, by her own admission, is still finding her feet on the clay.

    But the evidence in Rome so far has shown she is continuing to improve - albeit against opponents well below Gauff's standard.

    Her movement, which is always the key to being a good clay-court player, has looked sharper and allowed the Briton to play more on the front foot like she wants to.

    Another key factor is the relaxed demeanour which she continues to possess

    That has been harnessed by having Mark Petchey and Jane O'Donoghue - long-time trusted associates - over the past couple of months.
