Right now, we're just seeing the Canadian's flow of momentum pick up. I feel like the muscle, the power and the strength of Auger-Aliassime is starting to shine brighter than the incredible defence of De Minaur.

  7. De Minaur holdspublished at 19:39 British Summer Time 3 September

    *Auger-Aliassime 4-6 7-6 (9-7) 5-4 De Minaur

De Minaur is cheering himself on, clenching his fist as he heads to the sit-down. If you could bottle his positive energy and his competitive fire and sell it, you would make a lot of money. He is still in touch in the third set.

    Auger-Aliassime 4-6 7-6 (9-7) 4-2 De Minaur*

The way they've been walking in between the points I would say that Auger-Aliassime seems to be less troubled at this stage. He seems to be physically still there.

The longer the match goes, will it be the fire-power of the Canadian that sees him through? Or the longer the match goes, will it be the defence and the ability of De Minaur to absorb the pace?

That might have been a significant break for Auger-Aliassime - but never discount 'the Demon'.

  17. Auger-Aliassime holdspublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 3 September

    Auger-Aliassime 4-6 7-6 (9-7) 2-2 De Minaur*

A crunching forehand from De Minaur gets him to 30-30 on the Auger-Aliassime serve and he's just starting to express a bit of emotion after each point too.

But the Canadian rallies with a couple of big serves to take the hold and keep us on serve.
