Some really entertaining points in there but the scoreboard says that was pretty comfortable for Coco Gauff.

She has managed this match perfectly so far, keeping the crowd quiet and unleashing that power when she needs to.

She's on the board, and the match starts now. She's settled, she has her opening game.

Remember Boisson was 3-0 down in the second set yesterday, then won six games in a row. She has the firepower.

  5. Hewett and Reid through to wheelchair finalpublished at 17:21 British Summer Time 5 June

    Hewett/Reid 6-2 6-3 Miki/Ratzlaff

British pair Gordon Reid and Alfie Hewett have beaten Casey Ratzlaff of the USA and Japan's Takuya Miki, and the rain, to reach the final of the men's wheelchair doubles.

An ace from Reid sealed the deal as the number one seeds won the encounter with their second match point.

The victory was claimed in an hour and 14 minutes amid a sea of umbrellas on court 12, with all the other outdoor courts being covered to protect against the rain.

But Reid and Hewett are through on an odd day on which they started as opponents in the singles quarter-finals, with Hewett triumphing 6-2 6-4.

    Boisson is on the scoreboard!

She offered Gauff a little glimmer of a chance at 40-30 but a big serve sees out the game for the world number 361.

Earlier I wondered how many fans would be inside Chatrier during the early part of this second semi-final.

I'm pleased to report that the crowd is looking very healthy - and sounding incredibly loud.

It is about three-quarters full at the moment, which you imagine will steadily increase at the end of each game.

The sound of heavy rain hammering down on the roof indicates the ticket-holders are better off sheltering inside anyway.

Coco Gauff is giving her nothing. That was a huge game to get back in.

Gauff is stamping her authority, refusing to allow the fans into this match. It is not anything Boisson is doing poorly, it is just Gauff's level throughout.

Well, Boisson made that difficult but Gauff takes the hold after saving three break points.

She's played some good tennis at times but is yet to get on the board.

Boisson deserved that bit of luck.

Boisson gets a little bit lucky with a net cord on her slice but she won't care and neither do the crowd.

Deuce. The punters think she's got another break point but her forehand down the line is millimetres wide.

Oooh. Boisson hits long and that's a third break-back point gone.

Shotttt. Boisson finds some power in her backhand and brings up another break point.

    Third time lucky?

Coco Gauff isn't fazed at all by this match.

When she speaks, she is so eloquent. She is great for the women's game. She is a huge asset and I think she is going to win multiple majors.

If she can continue to get better and clean up that second serve to make it more solid, there is no reason why the sky is not the limit for her.

  15. Gauff saves break pointspublished at 17:11 British Summer Time 5 June

    Boisson 0-3 Gauff*

Ah that's unlucky. Both break points are wiped out as Boisson goes for power then touch but her drop shot doesn't make it over the net.

  17. Boisson break pointspublished at 17:10 British Summer Time 5 June

    Boisson 0-3 Gauff*

Brilliant line-kissing shot from Boisson and Gauff misses her forehand. That's followed by a double fault from the American and Boisson has two break points.

That might just give the crowd a bit of something to cheer about.

You can tell this crowd wants to get into it but they haven't had much to cheer for yet.

Lois Boisson will have wanted to win that service game and get the crowd into it.

She is very technically sound and complete as a player, even her volleys are picture perfect. I think this is her best surface.

  20. Gauff breakspublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 5 June

    Boisson 0-3 Gauff*

Boisson's loopy forehand is long and that's the double break for Gauff.

Tough going for the Frenchwoman so far inside a fairly quiet Court Philippe Chatrier.
