We all knew the potential of Anisimova when we first saw her reach the semi-final for Roland Garros and the way she is capable of striking the ball.

After everything she went through, the burnout, for her to be able to reach her first Wimbledon final has given me goosebumps.

So well-deserved. Tough moment for Sabalenka, losing for a third time in the semi-finals. She desperately wants to win but for Amanda she has put in so much effort. She took that mental break and came back and it paid off. For her to hit a winner to get to the finals...her game is all about offence. Well done Amanda.

It's not easy. We practise, we go to sports psychologists. We do everything we can to prepare for these types of moments. But there's not much bigger pressure than Centre Court at Wimbledon. Especially when you haven't won a major and you want one so desperately.

Sabalenka is really showing Anisimova that what she has done in the previous game annoyed her massively and she's therefore even more of a fighter.

So impressed with Anisimova. She started that game with a double fault, you thought maybe the tension would bleed into the rest of the game. But she went for it, playing on the front foot. She was too thankful to win that seventh game to think about apologising (for the net shot).

Sabalenka absolutely stared Anisimova down there after she did not apologise for that lucky net cord which resulted in her taking the hold.

It's usual for players to hold up their racquet by way of apology in those instances but Anisimova instead raised a fist to the sky in celebration.

Personally, I admire that. It's silly to think anyone is ever sorry for winning the point after a net cord.

Amanda Anisimova's backhand has been her greatest weapon today and she uses it to put a winner down the line for 15-15.

A huge piece of fortune at 40-30 when Anisimova's forehand heavily clips the net cord and drops over to seal the hold.

Anisimova is one game away from the 2025 Wimbledon final.
