  2. Game and first set - Swiatekpublished at 16:37 British Summer Time

    *Anisimova 0-6 Swiatek

    Rapid.

Absolutely rapid from Iga Swiatek, who was ice cool as Amanda Anisimova wilted.

There's only ever been one double bagel in a Grand Slam singles final in the Open Era before, but I just can't see things going as badly as that again for Anisimova.

    Anisimova 0-5 Swiatek*

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC One

It is quite worrying for Anisimova that nothing is working. The nerves have overwhelmed her.

I couldn't think of anything worse than this start for Anisimova; I didn't see this coming from a mile away.

  5. Postpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time

    Jonathan Jurejko
BBC Sport senior tennis reporter at Wimbledon

Anisimova does some soul-searching as she picks the strings of her racquet.

The sighs are heavy, the shoulders are slumping.

Not nice to see on the biggest stage of all.

Even the staunchest of Swiatek fans will be feeling an element of sympathy. Maybe.

  6. Swiatek breakspublished at 16:32 British Summer Time

    Anisimova 0-5 Swiatek*

Iga Swiatek sends a backhand into the corner and Amanda Anisimova barely makes an effort to get to it as her serve is broken for the third time.

A tough watch at the moment.

  7. 'Swiatek is off to a flyer'published at 16:31 British Summer Time

    *Anisimova 0-4 Swiatek

    Sam Smith
Former British number one on BBC One

Swiatek is off to a flyer. She will love getting two early breaks here and is hitting all the right notes.

There was a little opening for the American in the last game but she still hasn't quite let her nerves settled.

  8. Postpublished at 16:31 British Summer Time

    *Anisimova 0-4 Swiatek

Another double fault at the start of her service game by Amanda Anisimova and then she swings her racquet in frustration at sweeping a shot wide.

What is going on? This is rapidly falling apart for her out there, and you have to feel for her.

  9. Swiatek holdspublished at 16:29 British Summer Time

    Anisimova 0-3 Swiatek*

    Naomi Broady
British player on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds

You can feel the nerves so early on here. She's giving too much away. She needs to play out of her comfort zone to get on the board here and finally relax. If your shoulders are slumped after every point it's not going to help you.

  11. Postpublished at 16:28 British Summer Time

    Anisimova 0-3 Swiatek*

Amanda Anisimova mouths 'come on' as Iga Swiatek loops a wayward effort long to fall 15-30 behind on her serve.

    Anisimova 0-3 Swiatek*

    John McEnroe
Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC One

Anisimova is so wound up right now that it is affecting her movement.

She needs to accept the fact that this is overwhelming. She needs to believe that she is playing here and do something about it.

Even though it is 0-3, she needs to be positive. There is time to get this game going.

  13. Postpublished at 16:27 British Summer Time

    Anisimova 0-3 Swiatek*

A rare shake of the fist by Amanda Anisimova as she takes the first point on Iga Swiatek's serve with a cross-court backhand.

    Better.

  14. Postpublished at 16:26 British Summer Time

    Jonathan Jurejko

The majority of the encouraging shoutouts on Centre Court are heading in Anisimova’s direction.

Two reasons for that: firstly, the British fans regularly love to back the underdog and, secondly, many of them are being bellowed in American accents.

    The support doesn’t help, however.

Groans greet the double fault which hands over the double break.

Behind Swiatek’s team, a couple of handheld Polish flags flutter in the breeze.

  15. 'Nerves are showing for Anisimova'published at 16:26 British Summer Time

    Anisimova 0-3 Swiatek*

    Tracy Austin
Two-time Grand Slam champion on BBC Two

This is the serve that helped Anisimova when she beat Sabalenka, that wide serve in the deuce. She has been mixing up the locations of her serve beautifully in this tournament. Her first serve is only about 90 mph though, her nerves are showing.

Such a great angle from Swiatek which is going to challenge Anisimova's moving ability.

  16. Double break Swiatekpublished at 16:25 British Summer Time

    Anisimova 0-3 Swiatek*

I said before about Amanda Anisimova having plenty of double faults on her Wimbledon final run, and another just now hands the third game to Iga Swiatek.

She goes to her seat, wraps the ice towel around her neck and breathes deeply. Tough going at the moment.

    *Anisimova 0-2 Swiatek

Amanda Anisimova just cannot get this over the line as she again squanders advantage with a shot into the net before a forehand goes long and Iga Swiatek has the chance to get the double break...

  18. 'I wouldn't want my player doing this'published at 16:23 British Summer Time

    *Anisimova 0-2 Swiatek

    Pat Cash
Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live

A lot of head shaking from Amanda. This is not something that I'd like to see my player doing - whether they're missing first serves or not.

  19. Postpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time

    *Anisimova 0-2 Swiatek

Oh that's disappointing and there's a few groans from the otherwise supportive crowd as Amanda Anisimova shanks an effort well wide when at advantage.

  20. Postpublished at 16:21 British Summer Time

    *Anisimova 0-2 Swiatek

You feel Amanda Anisimova needs to get the hold here and get on the board to just give her some much-needed confidence.

She has the opportunity at 40-15 but then sends a shot wide and another into the net and it is deuce.
