  2. Norrie beaten by record-breaking Raonicpublished at 19:00 18 June

On day one at the Queen's Club yesterday, British number two Cameron Norrie was knocked out by former Wimbledon finalist Milos Raonic.

Canadian Raonic has struggled with injuries since reaching the Wimbledon final in 2016 but he fought back from a set down to win 6-7 (6-8) 6-3 7-6 (11-9).

Raonic hit 47 aces in the process - setting a new record for the most in a three-set match.

It was 28-year-old Norrie's second successive defeat on home soil after a shock loss to 773rd-ranked qualifier Jack Pinnington-Jones in Nottingham earlier in June.

  3. Draper aiming to become one of world's bestpublished at 18:56 18 June

    Draper v Navone

Jack Draper said winning his first ATP title has given him further belief he can become one of the world's leading players, following his breakthrough triumph at the Stuttgart Open on Sunday.

That victory saw the 22-year-old become the new British men's number one - and the youngest to do so since Andy Murray in 2009.

After Draper's victory over Italy's Matteo Berrettini, Murray said he believed his Davis Cup team-mate could go to the "top of the world rankings".

"It's amazing to hear that from someone like Andy," said Draper.

"Being the number one Brit is a huge honour and a huge privilege but I hadn't thought about that at all. My goal is to be one of the top players in the world."

Here's what Andy Murray had to say in his on-court interview following his opening victory at the Queen's Club:

"Obviously during the match it's difficult [to appreciate the occasion] but a great reward at the end for the hard work and effort I put in. I did well to come through in the end.

"Any win that you can get is important, that's why we're playing. With Wimbledon a few weeks away I want to build up some confidence and get matches in my legs. It's great to get another win here."

On how he is feeling physically as Wimbledon approaches, he joked: "I've felt better.

"But it was enough today. I didn't realise this was actually my 1,000th match on the Tour before my Mum told me just before I came out. So, a lot of wear and tear on the body, it's not easy, but I managed to push through it."

Popyrin recovers from a slip to get the ball back in play, and he gets his reward as Murray misses with a volley.

Another miss allows the Australian to claw his way back to 30-30, but another clever first serve gets him out of immediate danger and it's job very smoothly done with another excellent serve.
