    Rybakina 6-3 6-2 Svitolina

Elena Rybakina is speaking on court. She's asked if she likes the favourite tag - most players don't.

"Yeah, I also don't like it" she says and then nervously laughs.

It's a nice response and the question is very valid. She's been playing the best tennis of anyone I've seen in the women's draw this year.

Question for you guys, can anyone stop Rybakina?

I'm not sure about unplayable, Debbie (14:42), but it certainly looks like it will take something pretty special to stop Elena Rybakina.

She won 85% of first serve points and hit 28 winners to eight from Elina Svitolina. That really was dominant.

Game, set and match - Rybakinapublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 10 July 2024

    Rybakina 6-3 6-2 Svitolina

Ruthless. The 2022 champion is through to another Wimbledon semi-final.

An ace out wide seals a comprehensive win for Elena Rybakina. She was broken in the first game of the match by Elina Svitolina but hit back immediately and never looked back.

Just an hour and one minute needed to book her place in the last four.

At the start of this match Svitolina looked animated. There has just been something flat about her after the first few games of this match. It just makes me wonder.

She is dealing with way more than just tennis.

  14. Rybakina to serve for the matchpublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 10 July 2024

    *Rybakina 6-3 5-2 Svitolina

Break point chance for Elena Rybakina but, for once, she misjudges her forehand and sends it long.

No matter. She quickly earns another and this time it is all Elina Svitolina can do to get a racquet on it as Rybakina opens up the court with another vicious forehand.

Another break and the Kazakh fourth seed will serve for the match.

  15. Ostapenko holdspublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 10 July 2024

It's very tense out there with so much on the line.

Barbora Krejcikova looks despondent as her forehand goes long to make it 30-40.

Jelena Ostapenko holds and takes control of this second set once more with a brilliant volley, just one game away now.

  18. 'Svitolina won't out-power Rybakina from back of the courtpublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 10 July 2024

    Rybakina 6-3 4-2 Svitolina*

    Anne Keothavong
Former British number one on BBC TV

She is not going to out-power Rybakina from the back of the court. Maybe hope for a lapse of concentration.

It’s easy to say mix it up but that is not something that comes easily to Svitolina, especially on a grass court.

  19. Rybakina holds to lovepublished at 14:31 British Summer Time 10 July 2024

    Rybakina 6-3 4-2 Svitolina*

    Elena Rybakina responds in kind.

She is looking imperious on serve at the moment and even when Elina Svitolina finds a good return, it is met with a brutal deep forehand and Rybakina is in control once more.

Ostapenko keeps her chances of winning the set alive but then shanks a forehand.

    Deuce.
