  1. Skupski holdspublished at 17:38 British Summer Time 6 September

    *Granollers/Zeballos 2-3 Salisbury/Skupski

Granollers goes for the passing shot down the line at 30-30 but it drops just wide and he's disappointed with that. It would have brought up a break point.

Instead, Skupski moves ahead to take the hold of serve.

  2. Zeballos holdspublished at 17:35 British Summer Time 6 September

    Granollers/Zeballos 2-2 Salisbury/Skupski*

A neat and tidy service game from Zeballos.

No break points on either side as yet.

  3. Salisbury holdspublished at 17:30 British Summer Time 6 September

    *Granollers/Zeballos 1-2 Salisbury/Skupski

Another miss at the net from Skupski takes us back to deuce after some good serving moved the Brits to game point.

This time no mistake from Skupski on the net volleys and that wraps up the hold for the Brits.

    Granollers/Zeballos 1-1 Salisbury/Skupski*

A big 111mph ace from Salisbury moves the Brits to 30-0 before Skupski twice misses the volley at the net.

The two-time Wimbledon winner then can't get across to meet a Zeballos forehand and that takes the game to deuce from 40-15 up.

  5. Granollers/Zeballos holdpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 6 September

    Granollers/Zeballos 1-1 Salisbury/Skupski*

A couple of good serves from Zeballos wrap up a tricky hold from deuce.

    *Granollers/Zeballos 0-1 Salisbury/Skupski

Granollers and Zeballos have only faced eight break points all tournament and been broken just three times.

Skupski's forehand is causing them a couple of problems at the moment but a tangle at the net gives them game point before a long forehand takes the game to deuce.

  7. Salisbury/Skupski holdpublished at 17:17 British Summer Time 6 September

    *Granollers/Zeballos 0-1 Salisbury/Skupski

    Granollers/Zeballos v Salisbury/Skupski

The teams are out. This should be a really high-quality doubles final with all four players having been world number ones at one time or another.

Joe Salisbury is a three-time champion at the US Open while Neal Skupski is a two-time winner at Wimbledon.

History on the line for the British pair.

    Granollers/Zeballos v Salisbury/Skupski

Granollers and Zeballos have been a real thorn in Skupski and Salisbury's side when it comes to the Grand Slams this year.

The all-British pair lost the French Open final then went out at the quarter-final stage of Wimbledon to the Spanish-Argentine pair.

The all-British pair have only been together since the beginning of the year.

    Granollers/Zeballos v Salisbury/Skupski

Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski have both featured in the final of the US Open men's doubles before - but not on the same team.

Salisbury won three successive US Open titles alongside American partner Rajeev Ram from 2021-23, including beating Skupski and Dutchman Wesley Koolhof.

They would be the second all-British pair to triumph at a major this year after Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool won the Wimbledon doubles title.

"It'd be great to put that right," Salisbury said.

"There's been a lot of British Grand Slam titles, but not too many with all-British pairings.

"It's great now that there's a couple of top teams and it'd be great to put our names in the history books as an all-British pairing."

It's women's final day at Flushing Meadows. But before defending champion Aryna Sabalenka takes on Amanda Anisimova for the title, there's a bit of British history on the line...

Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski will bid to become the first all-British pair since 1903 to win the US Open men's doubles title.

The duo are bidding for their first Grand Slam title together having teamed up at the start of the year before suffering defeat at the French Open.
