Hubert Hurkacz came down with an injury while 8-7 up in the second set tie-break and with momentum on his side. The 10th seed tried to continue for the next two points but could only hobble on. Arthur Fils won those two points to set up a match point before Hurkacz retired.

In the three hours and a half of play, Fils proved himself worthy of the next round regardless reaching the third round of a Slam for the first time.

Jacob Fearnley's got to stop the rot here. The crowd are doing their bit, trying to help the Briton over the line after he slips from 40-15 to deuce.

Two Djokovic forehand errors later though and the Briton is suddenly back in it with a hold.

The second set ticks on a bit longer.

Novak Djokovic is the ultimate player of just making you play one more awkward ball time and time again. The physical side of playing against him is immense.

One off the frame from Wang Xinyu flies into the crowd. A slightly older gentleman commits and takes a bit of a dive to try to catch it. I salute the commitment.

Anyway, a man behind takes the catch and straight into the bag that ball goes.

An exhausting rally at 15-30 and Jacob Fearnley doesn't have the stamina to stay in it, going for a backhand down the line that isn't on and slapping his shot far too long.

    15-40.

One positive for Katie Boulter is that she starts off in the third set and will be able to pile on the scoreboard pressure. She screams out as she holds her serve to take the opening game of the decider.

Jacob Fearnley is in this match. He was in the first set the whole time and Novak Djokovic had to play well to win that set.

Fearnley looks like he has belief in himself. I love his attitude, very aggressive. Djokovic doesn't look that happy out here.

Conditions are pretty tough out on court three for the server with a gusty breeze making the ball toss difficult.

Jessica Pegula felt the full force of that as Wang Xinyu breaks back in this second set.

Not sure how many more chances Jacob Fearnley will get on Novak Djokovic's serve.

Really felt like the Brit had to take that opportunity in the fourth game.

Nevertheless, Fearnley and the home fans have some added belief that he can pinch a set - at least - off the master.

Much, much better from Novak Djokovic. After properly struggling during his last service game, the second seed has a little word with himself and then holds to love.
