Guernsey have named their triathlon team for the 2017 Island Games.

Alan Rowe, 51, is named in a men's side that includes 2015 silver medallist James Travers and fellow Commonwealth Games hopeful Josh Lewis.

Amy Critchlow, who competed at the world age-group championships in Mexico, is named in the women's squad.

"We've got a real chance of individual medals, particularly James Travers and Josh Lewis," said Guernsey Triathlon Club president Mark Naftel.

"The men have got strength in depth for the team event, while if the ladies continue to improve as a team as they have over the past year since the Jersey games, they've got potential for a team medal."

Guernsey triathlon squad for Gotland 2017: Amy Critchlow, Magdalena Puzio, Laura McCarthy; James Travers, Josh Lewis, Alan Rowe, Ben Creasey, James Gower, Bob Guilbert, Dan Galpin.
