'Lucky enough' - Slaughtneil keeper on vital Ulster Club Final save
Slaughtneil goalkeeper Oisin O'Doherty admits his vital save to deny Portaferry's Niall Milligan a first-half goal in the Ulster Club Hurling Final was "lucky enough".
Portaferry led 0-13 to 0-6 at half-time but their advantage would have been even greater but for O'Doherty's pointblank stop.
"It hit me on the helmet. I didn’t see it. He just hit it straight at me. An inch right or left of me, it probably would have gone past me," O'Doherty told BBC Sport Northern Ireland after the Derry club's 2-19 to 1-19 comeback triumph over the Down champions.
"It kept us in the game. A goal would have absolutely driven them on and our momentum would have been killed.
"We stuck into half-time and then we came out and what a performance."
Slaughtneil captain Mark McGuigan said his side "couldn't throw in the towel at half-time".
