Welsh golfer Jamie Donaldson says he is looking forward to his third Masters at "awesome" Augusta.

Donaldson will play his first two rounds in the same group as Tiger Woods and hopes to improve on his joint-14th finish in 2014.

"This is an awesome place to play golf, the best week of the year without question," said the 2014 European Ryder Cup player.

"I hope to use my experience of the past two years to help me through."

Donaldson will tee-off at 18:48 BST on Thursday alongside four-time champion Woods and another American, Jimmy Walker.

The Pontypridd-born world number 27 will be cheered on by family and "a few others", but expects all the players to be given good support by the "polite and courteous" Augusta crowd.

"It's an amazing place - great fun, great galleries, great golf course," he enthused.

"There's so much fun to be had out here. It's a case of going out there and concentrating on everything I've been doing to put my in this position to play here.

"Everybody says it's a perfect place, but I think it's probably better than that."

The only other Welshman in the field is 1991 champion Ian Woosnam, who is in a group with with Erik Compton of the USA and Australian Marc Leishman.
