Ayr United and Dunfermline Athletic played out an entertaining draw on the final day of the Scottish Championship season.

With both sides out of contention for promotion or relegation, the goals flew in at Somerset Park as Mark McKenzie opened the scoring for Ayr.

Dunfermline then hit three without reply before half-time as Josh Edwards added to two goals from Chris Kane.

But Scott Brown's side came storming back after the break and levelled the game through Lucas McRoberts and Anton Dowds.

The draw was not enough for Ayr to leapfrog Dunfermline into sixth spot, instead keeping them in seventh place.
