Mark Thomas in bed protest over Chester's plan to ban rough sleeping

Comedian Mark Thomas pushed a bed around Chester in protest at plans to make rough sleeping there illegal.

Mr Thomas joined the protest march whilst wearing a pair of pyjamas.

Cheshire West and Chester Council's Public Space Protection Order proposals are currently under consultation.

Mr Thomas warned the plans would "criminalise" homeless people.

The council, which also wants to ban bird-feeding and unauthorised busking, said it would review services for homeless people in Chester.
