Milestone baby born at reopened birth centre

An NHS birth centre which closed due to low staffing levels is celebrating the 50th baby born within its walls since re-opening earlier this year.
Katie and Luke Blake welcomed baby Charlotte June at Bronte Birth Centre, on the site of Dewsbury and District Hospital, earlier this month.
The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust facility reopened in April, after it was closed for more than two years.
Mrs Blake, from Castleford, said she was "overjoyed" with their experience at the centre and the level of care was "beyond anything we could have imagined".
She said: "We wanted a natural birth with as little intervention as possible, and Bronte Birth Centre provided exactly what we were looking for.
"The midwives were amazing, providing constant support and making sure we felt empowered and cared for every step of the way."
Manager Faye Wells said: "It was a beautiful experience for all of us involved."
