Overnight work on airport runway and taxiways
- Published
Overnight maintenance work is due to begin on Guernsey Airport's runway and taxiways.
The work will be carried out over 10 nights from 21:30 BST beginning on Tuesday, Guernsey Ports said.
It will involve cutting and filling naturally occurring defects in the asphalt surfaces.
The ground will be put back down in time for the normal opening each morning, the airport's operator said.
Guernsey Ports said the use of specialist machinery could mean it will be louder than usual overnight while work is carried out.
Special arrangements will also be in place for medical air transfers (medevacs) if the service is required during closure hours.
