Motorists have been warned to expect delays due to speed restrictions on a busy route between the south and west of the Isle of Man as stud replacement works continue.

A temporary speed limit of 30mph (48km/h) has been put in place on the A3 Castletown Road between Cross Four Ways in Malew and Ballacraine in German.

The restrictions are to allow contractor Collas to carry out the maintenance work on behalf of the Department of Infrastructure.

The latest section on the project is scheduled to take until Friday to complete, but the restrictions could remain in place until 16 August should there be weather delays.

The works follow similar replacement scheme on the Ballakillowey Road and Sloc Road, which was completed on 24 July.
