Body found close to where missing man last seen

A body of a man has been found in a garage close to where a missing 62-year-old was last seen in August.

The owner of a garage at St Mary's Court in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, called the police at about 10:45 GMT on 31 December after he discovered a body in a locked annexe, it was his first visit to the site since May 2023.

Norfolk Police have informed the family of Manuel Pereira, who was reported missing in August after leaving his home in Nelson Road Central, Great Yarmouth, but formal identification has not yet taken place.

The death is being treated by police as unexplained but not suspicious.
