A number of properties remain without water after a pipe burst in Derby city centre.

Water was seen spraying into the air on Thursday after the pipe, located in the junction between Victoria Street and St Peter's Street, was damaged.

Severn Trent Water said bottled water would be dropped off to affected customers on Friday after repairs took longer than expected.

A spokesperson said: "Our teams have been working hard through the night to get your water flowing again, but the repair is taking us a little longer than we first anticipated."
