The barn is in the parish of St Martin in Jersey

A planning application has been submitted to renovate a Grade III listed rectory barn in order to turn it into a community space.
The Parish of St Martin submitted the application to "sensitively convert" the former agricultural building so that it can accommodate "a variety of community-related activities".
The Connétable of St Martin Karen Stone said she hoped the space could be used in the future for community events such as lectures, exhibitions, yoga, Pilates and crafting.
If the application is approved, the parish said it would launch a fundraising appeal to cover the project costs.
'Flexible space'
"In recent years we have worked hard to establish a range of community facilities within the very heart of our parish," Stone said.
"This latest project will further build upon this endeavour as the sympathetic restoration of this historic granite barn will provide a flexible space which can be used for a variety of community events.
"Adjacent to the barn, on the north side, is a small parcel of land which is currently redundant.
"It is envisaged that this land will be turned into a beautiful, peaceful, landscaped and low maintenance garden complete with a path, herb boxes, a small orchard and seating areas to view the wonderful views of St. Martin countryside and the coast of France in the distance."
