The family of a man found dead in Stafford have paid tribute to him.

Lee Harrison, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after emergency services were called to Oberton Gardens on 21 November.

A 31-year-old man from Stafford was arrested on suspicion of murder and later released on bail while police continue their investigation.

In a tribute, Mr Harrison’s family said: “He touched so many people’s hearts.”

'Overwhelming time'

They added: “We have been contacted by so many friends who remember Lee as we do, which has been comforting at this overwhelming time.”

Det Insp Ian Fitzgerald from Staffordshire Police asked people not to speculate about what happened and thanked people who have already come forward with information.

“I can’t imagine what Lee’s family are feeling right now,” he said.

“My thoughts and condolences are very much with them as they continue to come to terms with their tragic loss.”
