Temporary speed limits have been put in place around parts of a road racing circuit in the south of the Isle of Man to allow for maintenance and equipment installation.

Sections of the Billown Circuit have been made 40mph (64km/h) until Friday, with a rolling 30mph (48km/h) in between.

Ballakeighan Road, Ballakeighan Corner, Castletown Road, By Pass Road, Douglas Road and Malew Road. have all been affected.

The works have been schedule to take place ahead of the first road racing event on the course in 2025, the Pre-TT Classic Road Races, which runs from 26 to 28 May.

Motorists have been warned the works also include the use of two-way temporary traffic lights at times, depending on the type of work taking place.

The Department of Infrastructure said three way traffic lights would be in use at all times at Ballakeighan Corner to allow for general maintenance in the area.
