Ferry sailings cancelled as gales return
- Published
Gales over the Irish Sea have led to more disruption to Isle of Man ferry services.
The 20:15 BST evening sailing of the Manxman Heysham and it's overnight Douglas-bound return have both been cancelled.
It follows the scrapping of several Isle of Man Steam Packet Company services to Lancashire, Liverpool and Belfast over the weekend.
The return of gale force winds coupled with heavy rain and high spring tides has led to weather warnings for possible localised flooding and coastal overtopping.
Ronaldsway Met Office said the risk of "surface water flooding in prone locations" would be in place until 11:00 on Tuesday.
A second yellow weather warning has been in place around the time of high tide between 10:40 and 14:40, with a risk of waves bringing debris onto exposed areas, forecasters said.
The Steam Packet has warned the continued adverse weather could also see further disruption to ferry crossings between Douglas and Heysham on Tuesday.
