Ten Hag tenure 'painful' say fans after sacking

Manchester United fans have described the club's performance under Erik ten Hag as "painful" and "not good enough" after the Dutchman's sacking.
The 54-year-old was dismissed by the board after a 2-1 loss to West Ham on Sunday, which proved to be the last straw in one of the club's poorests start to a season in recent memory.
Some fans heard of his departure while visiting to Old Trafford including 15-year-old Ruben, who said "it was probably for the best".
Others like Deborah Partridge said Hag had "done well to last as long as he did".
Mark Stevenson, 59, said: "It's been a painful time for United. I can't really say much about him.
"We have got no style. We had better style under Mourinho, at least we knew we could defend
"With this, we can't even hold a lead, it's just been shocking".
Ruud van Nistelrooy has been named as interim manager, and Ruben said he does not think the club legend would do "too bad".
"But there's not a lot of options at the moment," he added.
Evo Verhooren from the Netherlands was at the ground when he found out the news and said people from his home country would not be sympathetic.
"Mostly people are laughing at him," the 49-year-old said.
Alexander, 12, from London, said he was "very pleased because under Ten Hag we were a shambles".
He said the club "had good spells and bad spells" with the Dutchman at the helm, but his signings "haven't really made an impact".
"He hasn't been able to develop them, no players really got better, and that's a problem."
Alexander said Brentford coach Thomas Frank would be his ideal replacement.
Chris and Carly White from South Shields in Tyneside said they found out while inside the home dressing room on a stadium tour.
"Just everyone was a bit in shock" Carly said.
"It was kind of like the Kennedy thing, a thing we'll always remember, you'll always remember where you were when it happened," added Chris.
Meanwhile Thomas Lewis, 18, from Leeds, said he felt the sacking was "a bit unfair" after a controversial penalty which saw West Ham take the lead in their victory over the club on Sunday.
"A bad run of games hasn't helped him," he said.
