Stuck cockapoo freed by mountain rescue service
- Published
A cockapoo which got itself stuck on a ledge was reunited with its owner with help from mountain rescue volunteers.
The dog was several metres above a beck in Caldbeck, near Wigton, Cumbria, and "too risky" to get to, Keswick Mountain Rescue Team (KMRT) said.
Eight volunteers went to the animal's help on Sunday and rigged a rope rescue system to get a volunteer to it.
Both rescuer and pooch were raised back up the path and the dog was reunited with its owner.
