Stop-and-search powers extended after gun killings

Police stop-and-search powers imposed in an area of Wolverhampton where two men were killed in a shooting has been extended, officers have confirmed.
Duaine Mills, 28, died in Leicester Street on 19 September at about 03:00 BST. Syed Zain Ali, 32, died in hospital on Wednesday, West Midlands Police said.
The Section 60 powers, enabling officers to search anyone without reasonable grounds, were introduced in Whitmore Reans and Low Hill on Thursday, before the force said they would be be in place again from 18:00 BST until 02:00 on Sunday.
Last Sunday, the force issued a picture of Mohammed Maneer Khan, aged 38 and also known as Manny, who is wanted in connection with the killings.
A "visible" police presence will remain in the area as police speak to residents and renew appeals for anyone with information to contact them.
