Flat closed due to anti-social behaviour
- Published
An order granted to police means a flat at the centre of concerns about anti-social behaviour is now closed.
It means only the emergency services, the council and a housing association can access the property at 5 Trelowen Way in Hempsted, Peterborough.
Magistrates in Cambridge granted the full closure order to the area's neighbourhood policing team.
PC Steph Williams said: "Our efforts to tackle the concerns raised about this property included community protection warnings, but further action was required."
The closure order was in place until 6 March. Anyone who failed to comply could face imprisonment for up to three months or a fine.
PC Williams added: "We hope those affected by the tenant's behaviour now have some much-needed respite.
"This shows we are listening to them, and we will continue to monitor the situation and deal robustly with any breaches."
